Many medicines (medicaments, remedies, drugs) only have an effect (are effective) if their chemical compounds have a specific (special) spatial (3D) structure. Such structures can be purposefully (specifically) devised by the aid of (by means of, with) supercomputers. This could avoid (make obsolete) thousands of tests (experiments) in which pharmaceutical researchers have been searching for new substances.

The masterminds shall also help the biotechnologists (also biotechnologists are helped by/profit from the master minds). In the course (framework, domain) of the international genome project a number of genetic engineers are busy finding the precise order of the three billion molecule groups of which the human genotype is composed (... m. groups the h.g. is composed of). Stored in a supercomputer these results (this evidence) shall later serve as basis of comparison for various gene deficiencies.

Finally engineers benefit (profit) from the fast computers. For instance in vehicle construction (?) (automotive engineering?) expensive and material wasting crash tests can be spared (avoided) and in airplane and ship construction supercomputers provide (deliver) an exact image of flow characteristics.
