Can water be diluted (thinned)?

Fluids are diluted with water but can water itself be diluted? How important is water for life? (What's the importance of water for life?) It is in the nature of the matter (of things, very obvious, given by nature, it's a matter of fact) that water cannot be diluted. After all, diluting is nothing (nothing else, nothing more than) but mixing something with water or another fluid. Water possesses a whole number (string, series) of unusual (uncommon, extraordinary, exceptional) properties (characteristics). The formula (notation) for (of) water reads H2O since it consists of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom. According to a new model for water, 8 water molecules each can group into a cuboid unit (a unit with a cubic shape). Such structures, however (it's true that ...), are extremely instable (though) since (logical: as) they form and disintegrate (decompose, decay) 500 billion times per second. By means of (with, by) the new model some of the extraordinary water properties can be explained - for instance that ice floats (drifts) on water. Actually this characteristic makes life on earth possible in the first place. During (in) cold winters, lakes and seas (oceans) are covered with ice (are ice-covered). The ice layer insulates against coldness (cold) and thus prevents water from freezing down to the ground (that water freezes ...) and destroying all lifeforms (which would destroy/extinguish every(?) all forms of life).

Another important characteristic (feature, property) is that water devours (swallows, gobbles up(sl.)) large amounts of (much) energy while/when heated (during warming up). Physicists call this (talk of (not: about), refer to this as) the large/high heat capacity of water. It causes the seas to heat up slowly and correspondingly to release their heat slowly. Thus, water stabilizes the climate of the earth. Grace (due, thanks) to the new theory on water's structure this property is explainable.
